-Apr 21st,
It's been a couple of months since we last did an update and I apologize. Couple-a-things: The new record is 1.) Finished 2.) Going to be titled "You Can't Heal A Sick Riff" and 3.) Sounds rippin'. We'll probably upload a couple of tracks next month so sit tight. We're playing a couple of festivals this May. The first one is based in Halifax and it's called "Long Live the Queen" http://www.thequeenhalifax.blogspot.com and it's taking place over the long weekend. This is the first year it will be running so check it out. The other festival is called Pitter Patter. This one's happening on the last weekend in May in lovely Southern Ontario-Oh-Oh! http://www.pitterpatterfest.com We've also put together a ramshackle tour with our good friends, the Sleepless Nights http://www.thesleeplessnights.com (they update their website even less frequently than we do...). ~Myles Keep on-a-rockin' me baby
-Jan 21st
The new record is rockin' a long at the mixing stage. With any luck we'll have some previews in the next month or so. Halifax's beloved Thursh Hermit are defying odds and getting back together for a one off tour and the Fuzz scored the opening slot for one of their Halifax shows. March 19th baby! ~Myles The Future

The split 7" with our fellow hali rockers, Cuban Assassins are here. Just in time for the tour. We'll be selling them from the stage so get 'em while supplies last. $6 See ya out there. ~Myles The Party Never Stops
-Oct 12th
First off we have a new record coming out on our friend Rob's label From Here To There records www.fhttrecords.com. It's a split 7" on red wax with our bigger brother band, Cuban Assassins www.myspace.com/cubanassassins and will feature two of our finest cuts to date, Lights Out! Electric Co. and The Healing Power. There's going to be a tour to Ontario and back in November to celebrate this baby so be on the look out... Fuzz goes commando Second, we've embarked on a separate recording session at the Echo Chamber and have laid down tracks for a full length that ought to be released proper sometime next spring. At the production helm we have none other than Mike O'Neill of the Inbreds fame as well as the locally revered the Lodge and the Beginners! Beware! The Fuzz. Bandiversary
-Sept. 2nd
The Fuzz has been a band for three years this month. I usually don't keep track of birthdays but multiple sources tell me that three years is the average lifespan of a band and so I feel like it's the appropriate time to comment:. Here's to going the distance and being exceptionally average! Seriously though, I was feeling nostalgic and thought about recapping all that's happened and acknowledging everyone who's played in the fuzz since the band's inception. Here goes... Currently The Fuzz stands as: Myles - Pipes Dale - Guitar Al - Bass Jordan - Drums However these people have also graced us with their musicianship Travis Davis (of TalkSick): Guitar Colin Turner (of the Concords): Guitar Bruce Parks (of Cuban Assassins): Bass Lyle Peterson (of The Gideons): Guitar Lance Purcell (of A History Of): Drums We've been through almost every member change scenerio imaginable and have survived. We've opened for the likes of Pride Tiger, White Cowbell Oklahoma, Andrew WK and the Zoobombs. We almost opened for The Black Halos (except they got robbed (sadly) and had to cancel their tour) and Teenage Head (but Franky Venom had to depart this world for the great last pogo in the sky). We've put out two records on From Here To There in Halifax (the latest of which was produced and engineered by Joel Plaskett). CBC radio 3 seems to have taken a liking to our song "Ayatollah" and played it quite a bit over the spring/summer this year. And we toured from Newfoundland to Ontario twice in 2009 (not bad when you're a lil 'ol band from Halifax) where we made tons and tons of friends and spent many a night sleeping (comfortably) in the van. Look out! There's another record coming out this fall on FHTT. It's going to be a split 7" with our older brother's The Cuban Assassins. There's a tour in the works for November so check back at regular intervals. Thanks for reading and eat cake. ~Myles Van Halen vs. 50 cent
-August 16th
We bought a van a while back. It's big and it's blue and it's bad ass. ![]() After many a name suggestion we stumbled onto the obvious choice of "Fitty-One-Fitty" That's all. Peace out. ~Myles Content Management Powered by CuteNews |
